Grand Canyon Glass Bridge — the Practical Guide

Updated 30 Oct 2026 · Reference figures — confirm on official channels

The world's longest glass bridge hangs 300 m above the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. It looks simple from a photo; the real decisions are the route, the timing and the crowd plan.

One area, several routes

The Grand Canyon scenic area sells the bridge together with the canyon trail below. The common options:

Walkers end at the canyon's lower exit and take the shuttle back to the entrance — or, with a private car, the car simply waits at the exit side and you avoid the return shuttle line.

When to go

What to expect on the bridge

Combine smartly: the Grand Canyon sits between Wulingyuan and the city. Most of our itineraries pair it with a half-day (glass bridge morning → Yellow Dragon Cave afternoon, or a relaxed bridge + canyon afternoon after two Wulingyuan days).
